Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the WalkAroundIndia website and the booking of travel, consultation and related services provided by WalkAroundIndia. By accessing our website, requesting a proposal or confirming a booking with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Our Services
WalkAroundIndia designs and operates curated and bespoke travel experiences in India. Services may include bespoke travel planning, cultural and architectural journeys, heritage experiences, accommodation arrangements, transport and logistics, specialist guides and experts, workshops, private experiences, consultations and destination advice. The exact services included in your journey will be specified in your confirmed itinerary and booking proposal.
2. Proposals and Pricing
All itineraries and quotations are prepared based on the information available at the time of proposal. Prices are subject to availability at the time of confirmation unless specifically stated otherwise. Hotel rates, airfares and other supplier costs may change. A proposal does not constitute a confirmed booking until required payment has been received and services have been confirmed. Prices may be revised if there are significant changes to travel dates, group size, accommodation preferences, transportation requirements, currency fluctuations, supplier pricing, taxes or fees.
3. Booking Confirmation
A booking will be considered confirmed only after written acceptance of the proposal, receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from WalkAroundIndia. Certain services may remain subject to availability until formally confirmed by the relevant supplier.
4. Payment Terms
Payment schedules will be specified in your proposal or invoice. Timely payment is essential to secure services. Failure to make payment by the agreed date may result in release of reservations, additional supplier charges, changes in availability or cancellation of services. Bank charges or international transfer fees are the responsibility of the guest unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Accommodation
Hotels and accommodation are subject to availability. Where a named hotel becomes unavailable, WalkAroundIndia will endeavour to provide an alternative of a similar standard and character, although the alternative may differ in location, design or specific facilities. Hotel photographs and descriptions are illustrative.
6. Changes to the Itinerary
Travel in India can occasionally require flexibility due to weather, road or traffic conditions, transport schedule changes, government restrictions, monument closures, wildlife regulations, local events, safety considerations or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will endeavour to maintain the spirit and quality of the journey and provide suitable alternatives where reasonably possible.
7. Special Experiences and Access
Some experiences, private visits, architectural sites, museums or specialist interactions may depend on government permission, institutional approval, owner availability, specialist availability or security regulations. WalkAroundIndia will make reasonable efforts to secure such experiences but cannot guarantee access until final permission has been granted.
8. Wildlife Safaris
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Safari experiences depend on natural conditions, wildlife movement, park regulations and allocated safari zones. The absence of a particular animal sighting does not constitute a failure in the provision of the safari service.
9. Traveller Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for valid passports, required visas, entry and exit requirements, appropriate travel and medical insurance, accurate personal information, relevant dietary or accessibility information, following reasonable instructions from guides and service providers, and respecting local laws, customs and cultural sites.
10. Health and Travel Insurance
All international travellers are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, trip interruption, baggage loss and personal liability where appropriate. WalkAroundIndia does not provide travel insurance unless specifically stated.
11. Third-Party Suppliers
Some services are provided by independent third parties, including hotels, airlines, transport providers and local operators. While WalkAroundIndia carefully selects its partners, we cannot be held responsible for the acts or omissions of independent third-party suppliers beyond our reasonable control.
12. Limitation of Liability
WalkAroundIndia will take reasonable care in planning and operating your journey. However, we shall not be liable for losses, delays, changes or additional expenses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, weather conditions, political unrest, government action, transport disruption, strikes, epidemics or pandemics, road closures and force majeure events. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability where such exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.
13. Intellectual Property
All itineraries, written content, photographs, designs, maps and materials created by WalkAroundIndia remain the intellectual property of WalkAroundIndia unless otherwise agreed. Bespoke itineraries may not be reproduced, commercially used or distributed without written permission.
14. Website Content
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate. However, travel information, prices, availability and destination conditions can change. Website content should therefore be treated as general information unless specifically confirmed in writing as part of a booking.
15. Photography and Media
During certain tours or experiences, photographs or videos may be taken. Where we wish to use identifiable images of guests for marketing purposes, we will seek appropriate permission where required. Guests may also inform us if they prefer not to be photographed.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights applicable to the guest. Any dispute shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion and efforts toward amicable resolution.
